Choosing the Wavelength
To obtain accurate measurement results the operation wavelength of the
light source has to be provided. If you have not already done so, click on
Settings > Measurement Settings and then Sampling Settings. Enter the
wavelength and choose a sweep rate of 0 nm/s.
Auto Gaining
To provide a wide range of input power, the polarimeter receiver has 10
different input gain settings (0=lowest sensitivity, 9=highest sensitivity).
To set the gain manually, click on Settings > Measurement Settings and
then Sampling Settings. Specify the input gain. Usually the instruments
choose the correct input gain settings to achieve optimum performance.
You can suppress the gain switching by turning off the Auto Gain button.
