Application: Polarization Stabilization
In addition to the manual, scramble and sequence modes described before
(see previous sections), the N7786C can be used to generate a fixed
output SOP, even with varying input SOPs.
Click on the SOP Stabilize tab to access the settings for the SOP stabilizer.
It provides the following options:
• Show Target SOP - The target SOPs can be shown as well as the SOPs
that are actually generated.
• Set-and-Forget - The Set-And-Forget mode activates the controller
and stabilizes the output SOP to the output SOP present at the time of
activation.
• Stabilize - By clicking the SOP Stabilize sub-item of an active N7786C
instrument, the settings for the SOP stabilizer can be accessed.
