Application: Manual Waveplate Control
In manual operation mode the polarization can be adjusted by manually
setting the six angles ϕ0...ϕ5. The operation is comparable to manual
fiber-loop polarization controllers. The N778xC user interface allows to
save and restore software settings.
The N778xC polarization controller contains six sliders. Move the sliders to
adjust the position of each waveplate. The slider ranges represent a virtual
λ/4 waveplate rotation up to 360 degrees which results in two full
rotations on the Poincaré sphere.
You can store six sets of slider positions by clicking on a memory button.
To recall this set any time later, click on the Save/Load slider.
