Attach only required amount
of weight.
Unnecessary weight can result
in poor braking performance,
rapid wear of the brake discs,
shortened axle life, and in-
crease in fuel consumption.
IMPORTANT
It is possible to inject water and cal-
cium solution into the tire to use it as
a ballast.
If one liter of water is mixed with 0.4
kg of calcium, this liquid does not
freeze down at - 49
°
F (- 45
°
C).
For a tire without a tube, fill it with
water and calcium solution at least to
the valve stem level. (More than 75%
of its whole level)
If the tire without a tube is not lled
with water and calcium solution suf-
ficiently, a part of the seam is ex-
posed, resulting in corrosion.
For a tire with a tube, ll it up to 90%
of its level.
ADDITIONAL LIQUID TYPE WEIGHT
If the liquid ballast is used, in-
ate the tire 0.14 bar (2 psi) more
than the specied pressure.
This
is to compensate for the ventila-
tion symptom which occurs while
the tire is moving.
The liquid injection should be
performed only by a qualified
service personnel.
