(1)Maketheairpressurethesameastheatmosphericlevel.
(2)Graduallyloosenallairtubingfittingsandensurethatthehousingpressurehasbeenequalizedwiththe
atmosphericlevel. Dismantleanactuatedvalvefromthepipelineanddisassembleanactuatorfromthe
valve.
(3)Unthreadahexagonheadedboltandasealwashernearthesolenoidvalvemountingpad. Itispossible
thatpistonO-ringsarewornandcauseairleakageandpressurizetheinteriorofthehousing. Therefore,
beforeworkingondisassemblyofanactuator,graduallyloosenthehexagonheadedboltandcheckthatthe
housingpressurehasbeenequalizedwiththeatmosphericlevel(Fig.1).

(4) Remove a snap ring ( with snapring pliers), a position indicator, headed screws andan indicator plate
(Fig.2).
(5)RemovetwoendcoverstogetherwithinsideO-ringsfromTypeFAdoubleactionactuator. Removean
endcover anda springcover from Type FASspringreturnactuator,afterhavingensuredthataspring
cartridgeisde-energized(Fig.3).
