INSTALLATION OF THE ACTIVATED CARBON
FILTER
This appliance is equipped with an activated carbon lter. Activated carbon is charcoal
that has been treated with oxygen to open millions of tiny pores between carbon atoms.
It is used to eliminate unwanted odours (smoke, vapours and animal odours). Please
note that the activated carbon lter cannot be washed out. The service life is variable
and depends on the environmental conditions in which the appliance is used. The lter
should be checked regularly and replaced if necessary (the normal lifetime is 6 months).
The installation of the activated carbon lter in this appliance is shown below:

Remove the lter frame from the
appliance.
Remove the activated carbon lter from
the packaging.

Insert the activated carbon lter in the
appliance.
Put the lter frame back into the
appliance.
