What to do if the Kohler 4.5EFOD Marine Equipment controller LED display is off?

If the controller LED display is off, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if the generator set master switch is in the OFF/RESET position and move it to the AUTO or RUN position. If it's in AUTO, a remote start command may not have been received since the last controller reset; in this case, the display will activate upon receiving a remote start command or when the master switch is moved to RUN. Also, there may be no power to the controller because the continuous power mode jumper is disconnected and the generator hasn't run for 48 hours or longer, the controller fuse (F3) might be blown, or there could be low or no battery voltage. Connect the jumper to maintain continuous power, replace the fuse (and if it blows again, contact your distributor/dealer), and check the battery...
