Why won't my Kohler Pressure Washer engine start?
    • J
      Jeremiah GrantAug 1, 2025
Your Kohler Pressure Washer engine might not start due to several reasons: there may be no fuel, so add fresh fuel; pressure may have built up, so squeeze the gun trigger to relieve pressure; the choke lever may be in the "No Choke" position, so move it to the "Choke" position; the spark plug wire may not be attached, so attach it; the engine switch may be in the OFF position, so place it in the ON position; or the choke lever may be in the "Choke" position on a hot engine, so move it to the "No Choke" position.

    • C
      colton14Aug 8, 2025
If your Kohler Pressure Washer has no or low pressure upon initial use, it could be due to several factors: the spray wand may not be in high pressure; the water supply may be low, ensure it is at least 5 gpm @ 20 PSI; there might be a leak at the high-pressure hose fitting, so repair the leak and apply sealant tape if necessary; the nozzle could be obstructed; the water filter screen may be clogged, so remove and clean the filter; there might be air in the hose, so turn off the engine and water source, disconnect the water source, remove air from the hose, reconnect, and squeeze the trigger to remove remaining air; the choke may be in the “Choke” position, so move it to the “No Choke” position; or the high-pressure hose may be too long, so use a hose under 100 feet (30 m).
