q When pump merge-divider (main) EPC solenoid is driven, no current flows and open circuit is de-
tected .

q None in particular (Since no current flows, merge-divider main solenoid does not operate. Since no
current flows, merge-divider LS solenoid does not operate, either.)
q Even if cause of failure disappears, machine does not become normal until starting switch is turned
to OFF position.

q Single operation speed of work equipment and swing is high in fine control mode (L).
q Machine does not turn easily during travel.

Defective merge-divider main EPC
solenoid (internal open circuit)
1. Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2. Disconnect connector V23, and connect T-adapters to male side.
Between V23 (male) (1) and (2) Resistance 3 to 14 z

Open or short circuit in wiring har-
ness
1. Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2. Disconnect connector C02 and connect T-adapters to female side.
Between C02 (female) (112) and each of (115),
(117) and (120)

a If no failure is found by check on cause 2, this check is not required.
1. Turn starting switch to OFF position.
2. Disconnect connectors C02 and V23, and connect T-adapters to each
female side.

4 Defective pump controller
If no failure is found by above checks, pump controller is defective. (Since this
is an internal defect, troubleshooting cannot be performed.)
