4 Touch [Book Copy].
The Book Scanning screen appears.
[Booklet Original] is not available if optional saddle stitcher is not in-
stalled.
5 Touch the button for the desired setting.
– If [Separation], [Front Cover] or [Front and Back Cover] is selected,
“Position” appears. Select the binding position of the original.
– If necessary, touch [Erase] or [Center Erase] under “Book Erase”.
Select the desired area to be erased, touch [–] and [+] to specify the
width to be erased, and then touch [OK].
– If a Book Erase function is specified, touch [Image Adjustment] in
the Application screen, touch [Standard Size], and then specify the
size of the original.
– To cancel changes to the settings, touch [Cancel].
– Touch [↔] on the Center Erase screen to switch between the inte-
ger and the fraction, touch [–] and [+] to specify the width to be
erased, and then touch [OK].
– If a decimal value is displayed in the Center Erase screen, use the
keypad to type in the setting. For details on switching between dec-
imal and fraction values, refer to “System setting” on page 12-17.
