1 Original cover pad Presses down on the loaded original to keep it in

2 ADU Turns over the paper for double-sided printing
3 Bypass tray Used when printing onto paper with a size not
loaded into a paper tray or onto thick paper, OHP,
postcards, envelopes or labels
Holds up to 100 sheets of normal paper, 20 sheets
of thick paper, OHPs, postcards or label sheets, or
10 envelopes.
Referred to as the “bypass tray” throughout the

4 LCT Can be loaded with up to 2,500 sheets of normal
paper
5 Tray release button Pressed in order to pull out the paper tray for the
LCT
6 Tray 2 Can be loaded with up to 500 sheets of normal pa-
per (See p. 2-47.)
7 Tray 1 Can be loaded with up to 250 sheets of normal pa-
per, can be set to different paper sizes, and can be
loaded with up to 20 sheets of thick paper, OHP,
postcards, labels, or envelopes (See p. 2-43.)
8 Front door Opened when replacing a toner cartridge or turning
the main power switch on and off. (See p. 9-6.)
