Using the Set-up Menu (Cont’d)
Changing the focus metering (AF) Mode
- The system of focus metering can be changed.
*exo-AF sensor ON (default setting)
This is the normal setting.
This mode uses both external AF and image-plane AF using a CCD to set the focus.
This mode uses the optimum AF on the camera for the scene being shot.
*exo-AF sensor OFF
This modes sets the focusing using only image-plane AF with a CCD, with no external
AF used. Select this option when more high-precision focusing is needed.
These choices are available for all shots.
If OFF is selected, the time required for focusing may be somewhat longer in Scene
Select mode, etc.
