) button changes the monitor display. The display cycles
among the standard display, real-time histogram, and live image only.

The monitor image can be made lighter or
darker. The brightness level can be set
individually for viewfinder and direct viewing.
Turn the mode switch to the appropriate
position. Press and hold the information (i
+
)
button to open the LCD brightness screen.
Use the left/right keys of the controller to adjust
the brightness; the monitor image changes
accordingly. Press the center of the controller or
the menu button to set the brightness level.
The real-time histogram shows the approximate
luminance distribution of the live image. This
histogram cannot show the affect of flash
illumination. The histogram of a recorded image may
not show the same distribution as the real-time
histogram.
