5.3 Server Settings
This Koobrick Boxi supports CIFS (Samba) and FTP protocols. Samba lets you
share les stored in the Koobrick Boxi via My Network Places. FTP lets you share
les stored in the Koobrick Boxi through Internet.
Note: The maximum le size of a single le is 2GB if the partition type is FAT16; the
maximum le size is 4GB if the partition type is FAT32 or NTFS; the le size can be
larger than 4GB if the partition type is EXT2 or EXT3.
My Network Places
Parameter
Description
Name
The le server name that shows in My Network Places on
client computers.
Workgroup
The My Network Places group this le server will join.
Description
A brief description of this le server. This string will be
shown at the detailed information eld of My Network
Places.
Recycle Bin
You select to enable/disable Recycle Bins function here.
When you delete a le in a shared folder which supports
Recycle Bin vi My Network Places, the deleted le will be
kept in the Recycle Bin and you still can read it. If you delete
the le in the Rec ycle Bin, the le will vaporize permanently.
