8.1 Support wheel with chain-type
top link
On Swadro the support wheel with chain-type top link
has to be fitted to the left hand side of the headstock
when seen in the travel direction.
Support wheel installation :
Slide the support wheel (1) into the guide tube (2) welded
on the left in the direction of travel. Position as desired using
the insertion pin (3).
Fit the chain holder (4) on the top link arm connection of the
three-point frame using top link arm pins.
Attach the chain (4) to the top link arm connection so that
it hangs slightly when the machine is lowered. In this way
the rotary swather can suit itself to the ground contours.
For road transport always use the fixed
top link!
8.2 Tine loss protection
Fitting the tine loss protection
The tine loss protection for the twin-spring tine consists
of:
• a cord
• two cord clamps with
• two each of saucer-head screws, washers and
locknuts
Secure the cord (1) to the swath disc tines (3) with the
cord clamps (2).
DThe cord should be situated behind the
swather disc tines in relation to the
direction of rotation. The nuts (4) on
the cord clamps should be pointing
outwards.

The basic rule for servicing, maintenance, repair and assembly work on the rotary
swather - switch off the PTO shaft.
Switch off the engine and remove the ignition key.
Secure the tractor and rotary swather from rolling away!
