RINSING THE COFFEE SYSTEM
This function can be accessed at any time, unless the machine requires maintenance. For hygiene reasons we recommend
that you rinse the coee system every day or when it has not been used for a while (more than 2 days). See the OTHER
FUNCTIONS section of the manual.
– Place a container under the coee nozzles.

COMPLETE AUTOMATIC CLEANING PROGRAMME
FOR THE MACHINE, 3 TIMES A YEAR 13 MINUTES
Cleaning of the coee circuit allows you to combat residue, fatty deposits of coee and preserve the aromas of your
drinks.
To preserve the best coee avour and for hygiene reasons, we advise you to
clean and degrease the machine. It guarantees you optimal preservation of the aromas of your drinks.
To perform this cleaning you will need:
– 1 KRUPS cleaning tablet
– 1 container of a minimum of 600 ml
The cycle will link two phases:
– 1 cleaning phase
– 1 rinsing phase
WHEN DO I RUN THIS PROGRAMME?
We advise you to perform this task regularly and when it is necessary to run a descaling programme, the appliance
notifies you.
When the machine starts up, the warning LED and the LED on the interface will light up. See chapter 11 of the
quick start guide "COMPLETE AUTOMATIC CLEANING OF THE MACHINE 3x/YEAR - 13 MINUTES" gs 1 to 27.
– You can also start a cleaning cycle whenever you want: by pressing and selecting the cleaning program,
indicated by the
LED. Then, see chapter 11 of the quick start guide – gs 1 to 27.
Important: You do not have to run the cleaning program as soon as the appliance requests it, but you must
do it reasonably soon after. If the cleaning is postponed the alert message will remain displayed
as long as the operation has not been performed.
If you unplug your machine during cleaning or in the event of electrical failure, the cleaning programme will
resume from the start. It will not be possible to postpone this operation: it is mandatory to rinse the water
circuit. In this case a new cleaning tablet may be necessary.
AUTOMATIC DESCALING PROGRAMME APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES
Descaling your machine ensures its proper functioning and eliminates any deposit of limescale or tartar. This step is very
important to ensure the proper operation and durability of your appliance.
Caution: If your device is equipped with our Claris cartridge Aqua Filter System cartridge please remove it before
the descaling procedure (see "Removing the Cartridge Aqua Filter System cartridge").
To perform this cleaning you will need:
– 1 dose of KRUPS descaler
– 1 container of a minimum of 600 ml
The cycle will link three phases:
– 1 descaling phase
– 1st rinsing phase
– 2nd rinsing phase
WHEN DO I RUN THIS PROGRAMME?
When it is necessary to run a descaling programme, the appliance noties you. When the machine starts up, the warning
LED
and the LED on the interface will light up. Then see chapter 12 of the quick start guide "DESCALING
PROGRAMME" gs 1 to 30.
Important: The machine lets you know what it is necessary to do so. However, you can start descaling the
machine on demand by pressing and selecting .

You can customise various settings on your machine by accessing the machine settings.
Important:
The appliance should be plugged in but not switched on.
Press for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep.
Coee temperature
Press
then to adjust the coee temperature. There are 3 temperature
adjustment levels for your coee drinks. By default, the setting is 2 drops.

You can choose the length of time after which your selected appliance will automatically
turn o in order to optimise your energy consumption: 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 180
minutes. The default setting is 180 minutes.

Auto rinsing ON
You are able to automate the automatic rinsing every time the machine is switched on,
which guarantees a better coee taste and good hygiene. The default setting is inactive.

Disable the beans
missing function
You can remove the no coee beans detection function. This means that you will no
longer see the corresponding light alerts. The default setting is active.

OUT OF BEANS FUNCTION
This function is used to warn you about a lack of coee beans in the coee bean container. This is indicated by the light alert
(W), the alert
and by the grinding process stopping during the recipe.
