10.24Cleaning air filter x
Warning
Environmental hazardHazardous substances cause environmental damage.
Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.
Info
Do not clean the air filter with fuel or petroleum since these substances attack the foam.
Remove the air filter. x ( p. 36)
Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and allow it to dry properly.
Air filter cleaner ( p. 84)
Info
Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.
Oil the dry air filter with a high/quality filter oil.
Oil for foam air filter ( p. 84)
Clean the air filter box.
Check carburetor connection boot for damage and tightness.
Install the air filter. x ( p. 36)
10.25Removing main silencer
Warning
Danger of burnsThe exhaust system gets very hot when the vehicle is driven.
Allow the exhaust system to cool down. Do not touch hot components.

Remove screw .
Pull the main silencer off of the manifold at the rubber sleeve .
10.26Installing the main silencer

Mount the main silencer with the rubber sleeve .
Position the wide collar bushing and the narrow collar bushing .
