Long-life grease ( p. 99)
– Position the rear wheel and insert wheel spindle.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.
– Mount the chain.

spindle in all the way.

M12x1 40 Nm (29.5 lbf ft)
– Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake lin-
ings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure
point.
Finishing work
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 45)
15.5 Checking the tire condition

Only mount tires approved and/or recommended by KTM.
Other tires could have a negative effect on handling characteristics.
The type, condition, and pressure of the tires all have a major impact on the handling characteristic of the
motorcycle.
The tires mounted on the front and rear wheels must have a similar profile.
Worn tires have a negative effect on handling characteristics, especially on wet surfaces.

other damage.
» If the tires have cuts, run-in objects, or other damage:
– Change the tires.
