[1] CHECKING AND ADJUSTING
Adjusting Toe-in
1. Park tractor on a flat place.
2. Turn steering wheel so front wheels are in the straight ahead
position.
3. Lower the implement, lock the park brake and stop the engine.
4. Measure distance between tire beads at front of tire, hub height.
5. Measure distance between tire beads at rear of tire, hub height.
6. Front distance should be shorter than rear distance.
7. If not, adjust tie-rod length.
Q Toe-in Adjustment
1. Remove the cylinder covers.
2. Detach the snap ring (1).
3. Loosen the tie-rod end lock nut (3).
4. Turn the tie-rod joint (2) to adjust until the proper toe-in
measurement is obtained. (2WD model)
Turn the rod end (4) to adjust until the proper toe-in measurement
is obtained. (4WD model)
5. Retighten the tie-rod nut (3).
6. Attach the snap ring (1) of the tie-rod joint.

Axial Sway of Front Wheel
1. Jack up the front side of tractor.
2. Set a dial gauge on the outside of rim.
3. Turn the wheel slowly and rear the runout of rim.
4. If the measurement exceeds the factory specifications, check the
bearing, rim and front wheel hub.
