Why is my Kubota SVL65-2 Compact Loader having starting difficulties?
    • M
      Michelle FitzgeraldSep 12, 2025
Your Kubota Compact Loader may be experiencing starting difficulties due to several reasons. The fuel could be too viscous, so check the fuel tank and filter, remove any impurities and water, and replace the filter if needed. There might be air or water in the fuel system; remove water from the tank and check fuel-pipe-joint-bolts and nuts for looseness. Also, the fuse may be blown, so check and replace it with one of the same capacity. If it is winter, the oil viscosity might be too high, causing the engine to run sluggishly, in which case you should use the engine block heater (option). Finally, the battery might be almost dead, leading to insufficient compression, so try recharging it.

A V-belt might be worn or torn, needing adjustment or replacement. The thermostat could be flawed, necessitating its replacement. The coolant level might be too low, so you should fill the recovery tank to the prescribed level. The radiator grill or fins might be clogged, requiring cleaning. The coolant could be contaminated with rust, in which case you should replace the coolant fluid and add anti-rust. The radiator cap may be flawed, so replace it. Coolant pipes might be corroded, so clean or replace them. Continuous operation under full load, so reduce the load. The cylinder-head-gasket is damaged (Coolant loss), so replace the cylinder-head-...
