WATER QUALITY

INSTALLATION

3.1 LOCATION

Unit is designed for interior installation only and is not weatherproof.

3.2 OPENING THE UNIT

Instructions for removing the jacket from all models by unscrewing retaining screws.

3.3 MINIMUM CLEARANCES

All units require a minimum clearance of 50 mm on all sides for servicing.

3.4 MOUNTING

Details on suspending the Kwikboil using keyhole slots at the back of the unit.

3.5 WATER SUPPLY CONNECTION

Connect mains cold water supply to the 1/2" BSP inlet fitting, ensuring an isolating valve.

3.6 VENT;OVERFLOW CONNECTION

Connect a 15 mm (1/2") pipe to the vent/overflow connection with a continuous fall.

3.7 DRAIN CONNECTION

Locates the drain screw on the underside for tank drainage during servicing.

3.8 TAP OUTLET

Details on the tap fitting to the threaded tap outlet extension with an 'o' ring seal.

3.9 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

Specifies electrical requirements: 230 Volts AC, 50HZ, Single Phase, and element ratings.

OPERATION

4.1 MODE 1 OPERATION

Explains the sequence of events when the unit is switched on for the first time.

4.2 MODE 2 OPERATION

Details the sequence where the element heats water, then cools, and the solenoid valve opens.

4.3 MODE 3 OPERATION

Describes the cycle of heating, cooling, and element re-energizing based on water draw-off.

KWIKBOIL DIAGNOSTICS

Fault 1: NOWATER CONDITION FAULT

Occurs when no water fills the tank; indicates causes like no water or faulty probes/valve.

Fault 2: NOT HEATING FAULT

Occurs when water temperature doesn't change; points to element or connection issues.

Fault 3: THIRD LEVEL PROBE DETECTED FAULT

Indicates water level is higher than normal, possibly due to a faulty or scaled probe.

Fault 4: FAULTY OPEN CIRCUIT THERMISTOR

Occurs when the thermistor is faulty and not detecting water temperature.
