Kyocera’s innovative design of the new FS-C8100DN Network Color Laser Printer, features new improvements for faster
performance, higher productivity and reliability for fast-paced print environments. These new features are part of a strategy to
provide a highly productive and incredibly reliable Monochrome/Color Printer that benefits customer’s intense printing

Performance and Productivity
When describing performance, it is necessary to expand our idea of what performance and productivity means. For the customer
looking for fast color output, performance and productivity impacts business workflow, and the ability to print the mission critical
documents they need. Customers will be interested in how individual features and functions can improve their in-place business
performance.
Fast letter speeds of 32/32 Monochrome/Color on the FS-C8100DN enables users to output standard letter sized documents
quickly and productively.
Speed is improved 16% over the FS-C8026N, and the CPU speed increased from 600MHz to 800MHz gives the FS-C8100DN 25%
more processing power. Maximum capacity memory on FS-C8100DN increased to 1GB with 256MB standard memory. The new
HD-ME5 option for Document Printing and e-MPS storage comes at an industry competitive 40GB of storage. In addition, the
warm up time on the FS-C8100DN improved from the previous models.
Reliability
Kyocera’s renowned reliability and durability are important factors you should discuss with your prospects when they are
considering fast printing devices for their critical document output. Customers in these types of environments will typically have
time-sensitive materials to print, so printer downtime, and inability to be used for an extended period is a detriment to the business
as a whole.

HDD Overwrite/Encryption
Data security and document confidentiality are also critical criteria when compliance is a factor. Many companies adhere to
specific compliance statutes such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA, or print highly confidential material that cannot be
compromised. For these types of environments, an optional Data Security Kit (D) is available, which can overwrite data at the
device level. This is a strong competitive advantage that only a number of manufacturers can offer.
