HeartStart First Aid Defibrillator Step-by-Step Guide

Call for Help and Turn On

Call emergency services if patient is unresponsive and not breathing normally. Turn on the device by pulling the green handle.

Apply Electrode Pads

Remove pads from the cartridge and apply them to the patient's bare chest.

Analyze Heart Rhythm

Device analyzes the heart rhythm. A clear voice prompt and flashing orange light indicate if a shockable rhythm is detected.

Administer Shock or CPR

Press the orange button to administer shock if needed. Perform CPR if necessary, following voice prompts.
