      If the blades of your Land Pride Cutter lock up, use a pry bar or another tool to separate the cutting blades before lowering the wings if they were overlapped in transport. If your tractor has instant on power take-off, engage it at low rpm’s and then slowly increase engine speed to full power take-off speed. If your tractor has instant off power take-off, decrease engine speed slowly to an idle and then disengage power take-off.

      If you notice an oil seal leaking on your Land Pride Cutter, drain the oil to the correct level using the fill hole or the full mark on the dipstick if the gearbox is overfilled. Replace damaged seals. Regularly clean off any grass or wire wrapped around the shaft in the seal area.

      If the slip clutches on your Land Pride Cutter slip even with a light load, raise the cutting height to avoid scalping the ground. Adjust the clutch, and if the clutch plates are worn out, replace them. Also, remove any foreign objects caught between the clutch plates.
