What to do if my Landmann Grill is getting too hot?
    • M
      Matthew SullivanAug 2, 2025
If your Landmann Grill is getting too hot, it might be because the operating temperature is set too high, or the auger is continuously running. Try adjusting the control knob to a lower temperature. If the temperature continues to rise higher than the setting, contact Customer Service at 1-800-321-3473.

Why is my Landmann 470430 Grill not getting hot enough?
    • J
      Jessica BrownAug 6, 2025
Your Landmann Grill might not be getting hot enough because the temperature is set too low, the grill lid is being opened too long or too often, or there is no fire burning. Try adjusting the control knob to a higher temperature and only open the grill lid when necessary. Inspect and verify the pellet hopper is full and the fire pot does not contain too much ash. Be sure to allow the grill to cool down before touching any hot parts.

What to do if my Landmann 470430 Grill won’t ignite?
    • P
      Patrick HarmonAug 10, 2025
If your Landmann Grill won’t ignite, first verify there is power at the outlet. If connected to a GFCI outlet, check and reset it if necessary. If there is power but the grill still fails to ignite, contact Customer Service at 1-800-321-3473.

What to do if there is excess smoke from my Landmann 470430 chamber or chimney?
    • D
      Dorothy VazquezAug 14, 2025
Some smoke from your Landmann Grill is normal, but if you observe excess smoke and the temperature has increased, there could be a grease fire. Turn off and unplug the power cord. A simple grease fire should extinguish itself. If the fire continues, use baking soda to smother it or contact the FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Why is the fire in my Landmann 470430 Grill not remaining lit?
    • K
      Karen HammondAug 18, 2025
The fire in your Landmann Grill might not be remaining lit due to excess ash in the fire pot. Unplug the grill and wait until it cools down. Then open the cooking chamber, use caution to remove the warming racks, cooking grates, grease tray, and flame baffle from inside the grill. Remove all unburned pellets and ash from inside and around the fire pot. A shop vacuum with a hose is ideal for this task. After cleaning the ash, reinstall the warming racks, cooking grates, grease tray, and flame baffle into the grill. Initiate the grill lighting instructions. If the grill fire still goes out, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-321-3473 for additional support.

Why are pellets not being delivered into the fire pot of my Landmann 470430?
    • A
      Ashley RangelAug 22, 2025
If pellets aren’t being delivered into the fire pot of your Landmann Grill, the pellet hopper might be empty, or pellets failed to fall into the auger tube. Verify there are pellets in the pellet hopper and they are not stuck on the side walls. If they are stuck, gently bump the hopper walls to shake the pellets loose and/or add more pellets. If the grill has run out of pellets, allow up to 5 minutes for them to travel to the fire pot. Verify the auger motor is operating as described in SETUP PROCEDURE. If this fails, contact Customer Service at 1-800-321- 3473.

What to do if the electric element (igniter) does not get hot in my Landmann 470430?
    • A
      Ann HarperAug 27, 2025
If the electric element (igniter) does not get hot in your Landmann Grill, check that the 3-wire plug is fully seated into a 3-wire grounded GFCI outlet wired for 120 volts and protected at 7 or 10 amps. Check the breakers or fuses for the outlet being used are not open or blown. Check that the GFCI outlet has not been tripped. The electric element only heats up (becomes red) during the first 5 minutes after the power switch is turned on. Reset the plug in a 3-wire grounded GFCI outlet wired for 120 volts and protected at 7 or 10 amps. Reset breakers or replace the fuse. Reset the GFCI outlet. Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position for 5 minutes, then follow the lighting instructions. Replace the max fuse size with a 5mm x 20mm, 5 amps fuse.
