Signal Connections
MADI Connections
The pro8 provides two MADI in/out ports (MADI 1 & 2) available for connection from the front and/or
rear panel.
Each port carries up to 64 input and output channels and conforms to AES10.
Connections are available on optical fibre LC connectors, once you have fitted the recommended
SFP adaptors.
The front and rear ports operate in parallel. This allows you to configure main and redundant MADI
links. Both front and rear MADI outputs are always active. For the return link, in Version 1.0, the first
recognised and locked input is used. (In a future software release, you will be able to select the active
MADI input (front or rear) from the user interface.)
An LED for each port indicates the status:
Green = MADI link is active.
Flashing Red = MADI link is asynchronous.
Off = no connection or MADI link is invalid.
