4) Refit the oil drain screw and wipe of spilled oil.
5) Refill the oil tank as described in section “PREPARATION - Filling with engine oil”
8.3 Empty fuel
1) Hold a collection container beneath the fuel tank.
2) Unscrew the tank cap and remove it.
3) Take the machine to bottom up, and drain it.
4) Re do above after several minutes
5) Allow the fuel to run out completely.
8.4 Spark plug
Inspect the spark plug regularly. Clean or replace with a new one if necessary.
1) Disconnect the spark plug connector.
2) Loosen the spark plug with a spark plug wrench and carefully remove it.
3) Check the spark plug for damage and wear. The color of the electrode should be
light-brown colored.
4) Remove debris from the electrode with a soft wired brush; avoid heavy cleaning of the
electrode.
5) Dry the spark plug with a soft cloth if it is wet from fuel.
6) Check the spark plug gap. It should be 0.7 ± 0.08 mm (Fig. 19).

7) Replace with a new spark plug if either the electrode or the insulation is damaged.
8) When replacing the spark plug, first screw it in hand tight and then lightly tighten it with
the spark plug wrench.
8.5 Clean the air filter
Inspect the air filter regularly. Replace it with a new one if necessary.
1) Pull the latches away from the air filter case (Fig. 27) and detach the air filter cover.
2) Remove the filter from its housing and tap it on a solid surface to remove dust (Fig. 28).
3) Apply a small amount of air filter oil on the filter to increase the performance of the filter.
Wring out surplus oil and put the filter into the case.
4) Re-attach the air filter and close the air filter case. Make sure the latches are engaged
and the air filter cover is securely fastened.
