What to do if my Leica Aperio AT2 DX scanner fails to start?
    • B
      Bryan McdonaldAug 3, 2025
First, check that the power switch at the back of the unit is turned on. Next, ensure that all scanner doors, including the AutoLoader carousel door, are completely closed, as the scanner will not start unless all doors are shut. Finally, click the Aperio Service Manager icon in the Windows task bar. Verify that the entry for the Controller has a green dot and says 'Stop Controller Service.' If it shows a red dot and says 'Start Controller Service,' click the entry to restart it.

How to troubleshoot issues when scanning a slide with my Leica Aperio AT2 DX?
    • R
      Richard GalvanAug 8, 2025
Here are a few things to check when you're having trouble scanning a slide: * If the slide tissue is extremely thick or thin, this could cause issues. * If the slide is extremely dark or faint, use a parameter set such as faint. * If the label is large or located inside the area of interest, remove the label or adjust the area of interest. * For pen marks on the coverslip, remove the marks or perform a manual scan. * If there is dust or debris on the coverslip or bottom surface, clean the slide. * If there are bubbles under the coverslip, perform a manual scan. * In case of excess adhesive around the edges of the coverslip, clean it or perform a manual scan.

Why is the entire image out of focus on my Leica Aperio AT2 DX Laboratory Equipment?
    • J
      john77Aug 13, 2025
Make sure the slide is held flat and isn't moving in the tray during scanning; tape it down if needed. Also, the optic surfaces, such as the objective, may have fingerprints. Please refer to 'Clean the Objective' on page 41 for instructions.

    • R
      Russell MartinAug 23, 2025
