You can see in the middle of the status bar of the screen, which zoom level you have selected. To change
from one zoom level to the next one you have to press the “up/down arrow keys” or you zoom in on the

and screenshots have a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The photos and screenshots are save in jpg format.
How can I download my photos from the Leica DISTOS910 to a computer?
Photos and screenshots can be downloaded to a computer via USB interface. The DISTO™ will be
automatically connected (plug and play). It is now possible to download data from the DISTO™ by using of a
file manager like the Windows Explorer.
Please note: It is not possible to upload data to the DISTO™ and it is not possible to delete files from the
computer. Deleting files must be directly done in the DISTO™ Gallery function.
Can the brightness in the digital Pointfinder be adjusted?
Yes, when turning the digital Poinfinder on it is indicated in the display that you can change the brightness
with the left and right arrow keys on the keypad.
Why is the laser dot on short distances not centred to the crosshair respectively jumps from the
middle of the screen to the laser dot?
Since the laser exit is not in the same axis as the camera there will be the so called parallax error. This
means that on short distances the laser deviates from the hair cross on the display. The S910 uses a
software which detects the laser dot and corrects the hair cross on the display accordingly. This also works in
conditions with strong ambient light where the laser dot is not visible to the naked eye and ensures the user is
measuring to the laser dot independently to any parallax error.
How accurate is the tilt sensor in the Leica DISTO™ S910?
The accuracy of the tilt sensor in the device is ±0.1° to the housing of the device. To the laser beam the
maximum deviation can be up to -0.1° and +0.2°. This applies at room temperature (20° C - 30° C). At any
other temperatures the maximum deviation increases by ±0.1°.
What units of tilts are integrated into the Leica DISTO™ S910?
You can set the DISTO™ S910 to use different tilt units. Select in the settings “Units inclination” and choose
between ° , %, in/ft and mm/m.
-> The level function in the right hand top corner of the display can also be switched on/off in the settings
“level”. It is always set to 0.0° and cannot be changed into a different unit for tilts.
