Dry the product, the transport container, the foam inserts and the accesso-
ries at a temperature not greater than 40 °C /104 °F and clean them. Do not
repack until everything is completely dry. Always close the transport container
when using in the field.
Keep plugs clean and dry. Blow away any dirt lodged in the plugs of the con-
necting cables.
Wet connectors must be dry before attaching the dust cap.
6.4 Maintenance
The product is a high-precision measuring instrument and to be handled with
care. Maintenance of the equipment must be carried out by a Leica Geosys-
tems authorised Service Centre.
The periodicity of service intervals depends on the conditions of use. We rec-
ommend a service contract or participation in the 5-year-warranty program of
Leica Geosystems which covers preventative inspection, re-certification and
an extension of the factory warranty. Contact your local Leica Geosystems
representative for details.
In case of visible damage, system failure or errors, contact your local Leica
Geosystems representative.
