First, you might have overfilled the tank; remove any excess water, carefully following instructions to release steam before opening the safety cap. Second, ensure the iron plate is sufficiently hot by setting the temperature knob to “cotton°°°”. Also, make sure the iron and boiler switches are on, waiting 4 minutes for the iron plate and 15 minutes for the boiler to heat up. Finally, check if the water is depleted, and if so, refill it to the correct level.

Secure the cap, shake the tank, and then empty it. Repeat this process until the water runs clear. Avoid using any additives in the tank. Before resuming ironing, test the iron by spraying steam onto a cloth until the steam is clean.

      If the ironing board gets wet while using your Lelit Iron, the ironing board cover may not be absorbent enough. Try using a thicker cover, or layering two covers, to improve steam absorption. If you're using a vacuum table, remember to activate the vacuum function each time you use steam.
