4.2 Conditioning intensity
The conditioning intensity can be adjusted by means of the
conditioner's crop inlet plate (fig. 12), the rotor speed and the
position of the conditioner.
- Adjust the crop inlet plate.
Position A ensures the highest conditioning intensity, while
position B ensures the lowest. Five intermediate positions can be
selected.
If the adjustment possibilities of the conditioner crop inlet plate do
not allow sufficient crop flow-through, the position of the
conditioner rotor on the SPLENDIMO 320 FC mower may be
adjusted. Please refer to supplement B for more details.
4.3 Ground pressure
The ground pressure of the SPLENDIMO 320 FC mower is determined
by means of a mechanical ground pressure relief system and a spring
assembly.
If the cutter bar has a tendency to float during operations, which
inhibits proper ground contour following, the ground pressure relief
should be adjusted to a lower level.
- Adjust the ground pressure using the locking pin (fig. 13). The top
hole provides the lowest ground pressure and the lower hole the
highest.
4.4 Swath width
The swath width of the SPLENDIMO 280 FC mower is adjustable from
1.2 until 2.8 m. For the SPLENDIMO 320 FC, it can be varied between
1.2 and 3.2 m.
- Use the adjusting device (A, fig. 14) to obtain the required
opening of the swath board. Then lock the adjusting device.
- Use the swath board extensions B to obtain an even narrower
swath.
