Why does my Lennox MLDVT-40NM have frequent pilot/burner outage problems?
    • C
      Carolyn GonzalesAug 22, 2025
Frequent pilot/burner outages in your Lennox Indoor Fireplace can occur if the pilot flame is either too low or too high (blowing). This can cause the pilot/valve safety mechanism to shut off. To resolve this, clean and/or adjust the pilot flame to ensure maximum flame impingement on the thermocouple.

What to do if Lennox MLDVT-40NM pilot will not stay lit?
    • G
      gsmithAug 27, 2025
If the pilot light on your Lennox Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit after following the lighting instructions, the issue might be a defective pilot generator (thermocouple). Ensure the pilot flame is correctly impinging on the thermocouple. Try cleaning and/or adjusting the pilot to maximize flame impingement. Also, make sure the connection between the valve and thermocouple is tight and secure.

If the pilot light on your Lennox Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit even after carefully following the lighting instructions, the issue might be a defective pilot generator (thermocouple). If you're experiencing frequent pilot/burner outages with your Lennox Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to the pilot flame being too low or blowing too high. What to do if my Lennox Indoor Fireplace is not turning on or off?
    • S
      sean60Sep 4, 2025
If your Lennox Indoor Fireplace isn't turning on or off, first ensure the wall switch plate is set to REMOTE for remote control use. Then, check or replace the batteries behind the wall switchplate. If the issue persists, check the gas supply and gas shutoff valves. If needed, call a service technician.
  • K
    Kelsey SmithSep 6, 2025
Why does my Lennox Indoor Fireplace burner light then immediately go out?
    • Z
      zmillsSep 6, 2025
If your Lennox Indoor Fireplace burner lights then immediately goes out, the gas supply might be cut off, so check the gas supply and shutoff valves. Also, loose wires to the valve or ignition module can cause this issue, so check them too. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the pilot flame might not be engulfing the sensor, or the vent system might be obstructed, and you should call a service technician.

How to fix a Lennox Indoor Fireplace spark igniter that won't light the pilot?
    • N
      Nathaniel BellSep 7, 2025
If the spark igniter of your Lennox Indoor Fireplace won't light the pilot, check for a spark at the electrode and pilot. If there's no spark and the electrode wire is properly connected, replace the igniter. If there is a spark, try lighting the pilot with a match. If it lights, the gas mixture may be off, and a longer purge period is recommended. If it still won't light, check the gap at the electrode and pilot; it should be 1/8". If the gap is correct, replace the pilot. Also, check the inlet gas pressure to ensure it's within the limits marked on the rating plate. Finally, the pilot orifice might be plugged; clean or replace it.
