3.Placeasoft,cleantowelorclothonthedeskorsurface.Holdthesidesofyourcomputerandgentlylay
itdownsothatthescreenisagainstthesurfaceandthecoverisfacingup.
4.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage74.
5.Locatetheopticaldrive.See“LocatingmajorFRUsandCRUs”onpage69.
6.Removethescrew1thatsecurestheopticaldrivetothemainbracketandslidetheopticaldriveout
oftherail.
7.Removetheretentionclipfromtheopticaldrivebyremovingthetwoscrewsasshowninthefollowing
illustration.Savetheretentioncliptousewhenyouinstallthereplacementopticaldrive.
