TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The use of this technology equipment is subject to Alvin ISD Employee Responsible Use
Guidelines without regard to its location. E-mail, internet access and all files stored on this
technology equipment are subject to review by Alvin ISD upon demand. The Alvin ISD
Employee Responsible Use Guidelines can be found at www.alvinisd.net under Staff.
TEACHER CONTRACT
All teachers receiving laptops are required to read and sign the Laptop Agreement
presented by Technology Services. After signing the Laptop Agreement, they will be issued
a key to unlock their laptop. They will keep the key for securing the laptop.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teachers should log out of the computer when they are away from their desks for an
extended period of time. If they leave their room, they need to lock the laptop in order for
the equipment to be secure. They should lock the laptop using the key issued to them.
Employees must return any and all equipment to the District facility from which it has been
assigned within 24 hours of being reassigned to another position or upon the termination
of employment with the District. In addition, if they leave the District and do not return
equipment that has been checked out, the District will debit their final paycheck for the
total replacement cost of the equipment not returned. If they would prefer not to take
their laptop home over the summer they will need to check it in with their campus before
leaving for the summer.
