•Allcablesandjumpers(ifany)areinstalled
correctly.
2.Ifyouhaveanydiagnosticprograms,runthe
diagnosticprogramstotestthestoragedrive.
3.Reinstalltheeasy-swapdriveandreconnectcables.
4.Replacetheeasy-swapdrive.
5.Replacetheeasy-swap-drivemodule.
Anewlyinstalledhot-swapstoragedriveisnotrecognized.1.Ensurethatthedriveisinstalledintothecorrectdrive
bay.
2.Restarttheserver.
3.Removethedrivefromthebay,wait45seconds,and
reinsertthedriveintothebay,makingsurethatthe
driveconnectstothehot-swap-drivebackplane.
4.Ifyouhaveanydiagnosticprograms,runthe
diagnosticprogramstotestthestoragedrive.
5.Ensurethatthebackplaneiscorrectlyseated.When
itiscorrectlyseated,thedriveassembliescorrectly
connecttothebackplanewithoutbowingorcausing
movementofthebackplane.
6.Ensurethatthecableconnectioniscorrect.See

7.Reconnectthebackplanepowercableandrepeat
