PCIe card
This topic provides instructions on how to install or remove a PCIe card, such as a graphic card, a RAID card,
an Ethernet card, and any other supported PCIe cards. Depending on the specific type, the PCIe card might
look different from the illustrations in this topic.
Note: The PCIe card is extremely sensitive to ESD. Ensure that you read and understand “Handling static-
sensitive devices” on page 40 first and carefully perform the operation.

Removing a PCIe card
To remove a PCIe card, do the following:
1. Prepare your server. See “Preparing your server and removing the server cover” on page 41.
2. Locate the PCIe card to be removed. For PCIe slot locations, see “System board components” on page
19.
3. At the rear of the server, press the release button
1 to open the PCIe card latch 2 .
