7. Remove the SD module from the server chassis if necessary.
8. To install a new SD module and SD card, see “Installing the SD module” on page 79.
9. If you are instructed to return the old SD module, follow all packaging instructions and use any
packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.
Installing the SD module
To install an SD module, do the following:
1. Prepare your server. See “Preparing your server and removing the server cover” on page 41.
2. Lay the server on its side for easier operation.
3. Position the SD module bracket into your server and then install the three screws to secure the bracket
in place.

4. Insert an SD card into the SD module until you hear a click.
Note: The SD module supports up to two SD cards. You can install a secondary SD card into the SD
module on the other side of the SD module.
