Removing the front fan assembly
To remove the front fan assembly, do the following:
1. Prepare your server. See “Preparing your server and removing the server cover” on page 41.
2. Remove the front bezel. “Removing the front bezel” on page 42.
3. Locate the front fan assembly. See “Server components” on page 16.
4. Disconnect the cable of the front fan assembly.
5. The front fan assembly is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Break or cut the rubber mounts
and gently pull the front fan assembly out of the chassis.
Note: A new front fan assembly comes with four new rubber mounts.
