6 System architecture
To commission the control system, an Engineering PC is required. This can be a standard
laptop. Here, the programs are installed which are required for configuration, parameter
setting, and commissioning of the control system. The programs are listed in chapter 3.2.3.
The Engineering PC which is connected with the Industrial PC via Ethernet, serves to install
the control system. For the operation of the control and visualisation system, the Enginee-
ring PC is not required anymore.
An Engineering PC can be used for the configuration of any number of Industrial PCs.
