Follow these guidelines to avoid personal injury or printer damage:
• Use at least two people to lift the printer.
• Before moving the printer:
– Turn it off using the power switch.
– Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
– Disconnect all cords and cables from the printer.
– Remove all printer options.
Warning: Damage to the printer caused by improper moving is not covered by the printer warranty.
Locking the scanner
1 From the control panel, press .
2 Press or repeatedly until Machine Settings appears, and then press .
3 Press or repeatedly until Scanner Carriage appears, and then press .
4 Press or repeatedly until Move to Lock appears, and then press .
5 Press or repeatedly until Execute appears, and then press .
The scanner moves to the home position.
6 Press to return to the Ready state.
7 Open the scanner cover.
