Function Description:
The LG dishwasher is designed for normal household use to clean dishes, cutlery, and other kitchen utensils. It features various wash programs to accommodate different levels of soiling and types of items. The appliance includes a water softening system to improve washing results in areas with hard water, and a rinse aid dispenser to prevent spots and streaks and aid in drying.

- Wash Programs:
- Intensive: Ideal for very dirty crockery, pots, pans, and casserole dishes (50°C Pre Wash, 70°C Main Wash, 70°C Heating Rinse).
- Auto: Automatically adjusts washing time and temperature based on soiling level (45°C Main Wash, 65°C Heating Rinse).
- Eco: For slightly soiled crockery.
- Quick: For lightly soiled, recently used dishes and cutlery (70°C Main Wash, 70°C Heating Rinse).
- Pre-wash: A preliminary rinse cycle.
- Delay Start: Allows delaying the start of a program from 1 to 19 hours.
- Half Load: For small loads, allows selecting upper or lower rack only to save energy. When not selected, the machine operates in "vario washing" mode, alternating upper and lower spray arms.
- Extra Hot: Increases operating temperature up to 77°C.
- Child Lock: Locks control buttons to prevent accidental changes. Activated by pressing Intensive and Auto buttons simultaneously.

- Loading Racks:
- Lower Rack: Best for dinner plates, soup bowls, dishes, pots, pans, lids, and grill trays. Plates should be upright, facing the center. Pots and pans upside down.
- Upper Rack: For delicate items like small plates, long cutlery, cups, glasses, and dishwasher-safe plastic items. Plates positioned upwards, cups/glasses/bowls upside down. Includes fold-down cup racks for extra items or long-stem glasses.
- Cutlery Basket: Cutlery should be mixed, with handles down. Knives placed in a separate rack at the top.
- Adjustable Upper Rack: Can be raised or lowered to accommodate different sized crockery (not on all models).
- Drying: To assist drying, it is recommended to fully open the door after the cycle. The "Cool dry" mode operates a fan to diminish remaining moisture.
- Auto Restart: If power failure occurs, the dishwasher will restart from the position it stopped.
Maintenance Features:
- Filters: Removable mesh filter, upper STS filter, and outer filter for cleaning. Instructions provided for removal and replacement.
- Spray Arms: Upper and lower spray arms can be checked for blocked water jet holes and cleaned. The upper arm can be removed by unscrewing a nut, and the lower arm by pulling up.
- Salt Container: Located at the bottom of the dishwasher. Requires special salt to soften hard water. Refill indicator lamp signals when salt is low.
- Rinse Aid Dispenser: Refill indicator lamp signals when rinse aid is low. Dosage can be adjusted.
