Why is the cooling system in my LG Refrigerator running too much?
    • C
      Cynthia WilsonSep 10, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator is running too much, remember that modern refrigerators need more operating time but use less energy. It can take up to 24 hours to cool completely after being plugged in. Avoid frequent door openings, organize food for easy access, and close the door quickly. Ensure doors close completely and the refrigerator isn't in a hot location (above 110°F). Clean the condenser cover and vents with a vacuum cleaner.

      Christopher RobinsonAug 23, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator is not dispensing water, it could be due to a few reasons. If it's a new installation or the water line was recently connected, dispense 2.5 gallons of water to remove trapped air and contaminants. Check if the dispenser panel is locked by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. Make sure the dispenser is set to water dispensing by pressing the Water button. Ensure the refrigerator doors are closed properly. If the water filter was recently removed or replaced, flush the system with 2.5 gallons of water. Check for kinks in the tubing connecting the refrigerator to the house supply valve. Finally, verify that the house water supply is connected and the valve is fully open; if the issue continues, contact a plumber.

Eliminate frost or ice fragments by removing the ice bin and clearing the chute with a plastic utensil. Ensure the dispenser display is unlocked by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds.
