Usage Features:

Pick-up Handling:
- Always keep the pick-up in its conductive bag until use.
- Avoid external pressure or impact on the pick-up.
- Never bring the pick-up close to magnetic materials.
- Handle the pick-up carefully to prevent damage to the printed-circuit board.
- Do not touch adjustment points or installation screws, as pick-ups are factory-adjusted with high precision.
- Laser Safety: NEVER look directly at the laser beam or allow it to contact skin. Do not switch on power if the laser output part is damaged.
- Lens Cleaning: Use an air brush or a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol for cleaning dust from the lens. Be gentle to avoid distorting the delicate spring holding the lens. Do not use other liquid cleaners.
- Never attempt to disassemble the pick-up.
Compact Disc Player Repairs (General):
- ESD Precautions: Components like ICs and laser diodes are sensitive to static electricity.
  - Drain electrostatic charge from your body by touching a known earth ground or wearing a wrist strap device before handling components.
  - Place electrical assemblies with ESD devices on a conductive surface (e.g., aluminum foil) after removal.
  - Use only grounded-tip soldering irons and anti-static solder removal devices.
  - Avoid freon-propelled chemicals.
  - Keep replacement ESD devices in their protective packaging until immediately before installation.
  - Before removing protective material from replacement ESD device leads, touch the material to the chassis or circuit assembly.
  - Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged ESD devices.
- Disconnect power supply before replacing parts.
- Ground all equipment, measuring instruments, and tools.
- Cover the workbench with a conductive sheet and ground it.
- Ground the metal part of the soldering iron.
- Workers should be grounded by an armband (1 MΩ).
- Avoid contact between the laser pick-up and clothing to prevent static electricity discharge.
