What to do if my LG WT1150CW is making a thumping sound?
    • L
      Laurie DavisAug 6, 2025
A thumping sound can occur if you have heavy wash loads or if the wash load is out of balance. This is generally normal. However, if the sound persists, the washer is likely out of balance. Stop the washer, redistribute the wash load, and pause the cycle to redistribute the load after the lid unlocks.

    • D
      daltontaylorAug 13, 2025
A vibrating noise can occur due to several reasons: * Packaging materials were not removed. See the Unpacking and Removing Shipping Material section in the installation requirements section. * The wash load may be unevenly distributed in the tub. Pause the cycle and redistribute the load after the lid unlocks. * Not all leveling feet are resting firmly and evenly on the floor. See Leveling the Washer in the Installation Instructions section. * The floor may not be rigid enough. Make sure that the floor is solid and does not flex. See Flooring in the Installation Requirements section.

There are several reasons why your LG washer might be leaking water. It could be due to a loose inlet hose connection at the faucet or washer. Check the hoses for leaks, cracks, and splits, and tighten the hose connections. The house drain pipes might be clogged; check for water backing up out of the drain pipe during the drain cycle. If water is coming out of the drain, check the drain hose installation and look for restrictions in the drain. Contact a plumber to repair the drain pipe if needed. The drain hose may have come out of the drain or isn't inserted far enough; secure the drain hose to the inlet hose or standpipe. For smaller drain pipes, insert the drain hose to the flange.
