Why does my LifeSize IP Phone display an invalid IP address?

  An invalid IP address on your LifeSize IP Phone typically occurs because the unit is configured to obtain an address using DHCP, but no DHCP server is available. Verify that the unit is plugged into a network that has a DHCP server. It may also happen due to a faulty Ethernet cable connection. Replace the Ethernet cable with a high-quality cable. Finally, if the unit is configured to use a static IP address, ensure that you have entered the necessary IP information after disabling DHCP.

  If your LifeSize IP Phone display fails, first ensure the unit is properly plugged into a PoE connection and that the Ethernet connector is fully engaged into the RJ-45 jack on the underside of the phone. Also, verify that your Ethernet wall jack connection is PoE (standard Ethernet has no power). A bad Ethernet cable can also cause display failures, so replace it with a high-quality Ethernet cable.
