What to do if my Lincoln Electric Welding System won't weld or has no output?
    • W
      Whitney GallagherAug 14, 2025
If the displays show an error code, consult the fault section for the appropriate corrective steps. If the thermal symbol illuminates, refer to the thermal section. If the output terminals are in remote control mode, switch to 'ON' and check for output voltage. If output voltage is present, verify the remote control connection and its operation.

    Sheri NelsonAug 17, 2025
Why is the thermal symbol lit on my Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X?
    • P
      Paul AguilarAug 17, 2025
If the thermal symbol is lit, check that the fan is working correctly. Ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the intake or exhaust louvers. Use air to blow out any dirt from the fan through the rear louvers. Note that the fan may automatically shut off 5 minutes after welding stops. If welding output ratings have been exceeded, allow the machine to cool down and reset.

What to do if the output voltage limit is exceeded on my Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X?
    • D
      Derek HughesAug 21, 2025
If VRD is enabled, and the stud voltage exceeds 35 volts peak, or in standard operation, the stud voltage exceeds 113 volts peak, verify the voltage feedback leads are correctly connected inside the machine. Also, ensure the input voltage is within +/- 10% of the nominal value.

    Philip BernardAug 26, 2025
Why does my Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X show a thermal fault?
    • C
      Cindy GonzalezAug 26, 2025
If the machine shut off output due to high internal temperatures, check for any obstructions blocking the intake or exhaust louvers. Blow air into the rear louvers to remove any dirt from the fan. Note that the fan is designed to automatically turn off 5 minutes after welding has stopped. If welding output ratings have been exceeded, allow the machine to cool down and reset. You can also measure the thermostats at the switchboard and replace them if they are defective.

    Gregory GriffinAug 28, 2025
What causes a communication fault in my Lincoln Electric Welding System?
    • E
      Edward HarrisonAug 29, 2025
Power cycle the machine to reset the error. Inspect the CAN harness to ensure that all connections are secure and in good condition. Check the power supply to the User Interface and Switch PC boards. Replace any defective components as needed.

How to troubleshoot a Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X wire feeder that isn't working?
    • T
      tylersmithSep 1, 2025
Check the control cable connectors on the front of the machine to ensure they are properly connected. Check the circuit breaker on the back of the machine and reset it if necessary. Also, check the control cable between the power source and the wire feeder for continuity.

What causes a primary overcurrent error in my Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X?
    • M
      Melissa JonesSep 5, 2025
Check the input power (voltage and frequency). Verify proper input power and welding output cable connections. Verify proper connections of main internal power components. The machine must be power cycled to reset the error.

What to do if the device that controls the sequence of the welding operation halted due to an error on my Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X Welding System?
    • A
      Andrew HoodSep 9, 2025
For weld terminals in remote mode, re-trigger to recover from the error. For weld terminals in local mode, toggle the Remote/Local switch to recover from the error.
