Why is my Linhai Offroad Vehicle CVT belt burning?
    • L
      Lisa NunezAug 4, 2025
CVT belt burning in your Linhai Offroad Vehicle can occur due to several reasons. It might happen when loading the ATV into a pickup or tall trailer in high range - always shift to Low Range during loading to prevent this. Starting on a steep incline also causes the issue, so use low range or perform a 'K' turn. Driving at low RPM or low ground speed, insufficient warm-up in low temperatures, slow clutch engagement, towing/pushing at low RPM, getting stuck in mud or snow, or climbing over large objects from a stopped position can also lead to belt burning. For mud, snow, or climbing, use low range and fast, aggressive throttle, but be cautious to avoid losing control.

    • A
      Amanda BrownAug 9, 2025
A Linhai Offroad Vehicle battery can drain quickly if you're starting a faulty engine for a long time. Refer to the '8.STARTING THE ENGINE' section and check the fuel, air, ignition, and compression systems. Also, ensure you turn off the main switch (key) when stopping the engine to prevent battery drain.

    • T
      Tristan JonesAug 14, 2025
To prevent CVT burning when driving your Linhai Offroad Vehicle at low speeds (approximately 3-7MPH/ 5-12km/h), drive at a higher speed or use low range. Using low range is highly recommended for cooler CVT operating temperatures and longer component life.

How to warm up a Linhai Offroad Vehicle to prevent belt burning?
    • A
      Alexander BrooksAug 19, 2025
To prevent belt burning in your Linhai Offroad Vehicle, especially in low ambient temperatures, warm the engine for at least 5 minutes. Then, with the transmission in neutral, advance the throttle to approximately 1/8 throttle in short bursts, 5 to 7 times. This will make the belt more flexible.
