LEGACY RailSounds sound system
The emergency stop light feature will only work when your CAB-2 remote is set to
LEGACY mode.
Note!
Water Injector/Water Tower
When the engine is in motion, plays
the sound of water flowing from the
tender to the boiler. When the engine is
stopped, plays the sound of the water
tower refilling the tender.
Blowdown Smoke Effect
Produces a blowdown smoke
sound when pressed.
Smoke ON
Turns the smoke unit on when
pressed. Increases the amount
of smoke that is released from
your locomotive.
Smoke OFF
Turns the smoke unit off when
pressed. Decreases the amount
of smoke that is released from
your locomotive.
CrewTalk
Engineer begins radio dialog, dispatcher
replies.
Volume UP
Raises the overall master volume of the LEGACY
RailSounds sound system. To independently adjust
the level of the background sounds only (e.g., the
chuffing sounds and steam hiss), tap AUX1 and
then this key.
Volume DOWN
Lowers the overall
master volume of the
LEGACY RailSounds
sound system. To
independently adjust
the level of the
background sounds
only (e.g., chuffing
sounds and steam
hiss), tap AUX1 and
then this key. Volume
settings are retaining
when track power is
turned off.
Emergency Stop
Activates the emergency stop
feature while in motion.
You're FEF-3 is equipped with
a flashing "emergency stop"
light. To operate this light,
press the emergency stop icon
on your LEGACY display. This
will initiate the flashing light
and TowerCom / CrewTalk
dialog. After stopping the train,
the light will automatically turn
off once you begin to move
again.
Stops and resets the locomotive
Resets the locomotives direction to
forward. Press and hold to activate a
fueling sequence. Fueling sounds.
TowerCom
Dispatcher begins
radio dialog,
engineer replies.
Headlight ON
Turns the
headlight on.
Headlight OFF
Turns the
headlight off.
When adjusting the overall volume, you'll hear a single bell hit that gets louder or softer
with each volume adjustment. When the volume is at maximum, additional button presses
have no effect and won't play the bell. When adjusting the background sounds (AUX1, then a
volume key) you'll hear the volume change without a single bell hit.
RailSounds Shutdown

stopped.
