3. Place the new oor ange into the outlet hole and
secure it to the oor (Fig. 1).
Floor Flange
Installing a New Floor Flange
NOTE: If using the existing floor flange, skip to “Installing
the New Toilet
NOTE: If installing a new floor flange, consider engaging a
qualified service professional.
1. Remove the existing oor ange by unfastening and
discarding the existing screws. If the oor ange is glued
down, you may need additional tools to remove it.
2. Before fastening the new oor ange, verify:
A. The toilet mounting holes are located at preferred
orientation.
B. The center of the floor flange is at least the
recommended distance from the back wall for the toilet
model.
Installation
Removing an Existing Toilet
Follow these steps when replacing an older toilet, to
prepare for the new installation:
1. Turn o󰀨 the water supply.
2. Disconnect and drain the water supply line.
3. Remove the existing oor mounting caps, oor mounting
nuts, and oor mounting washers.
4. Lift the existing toilet o󰀨 the bolts.
5. Remove and discard the existing oor mounting T-bolts.
6. Use a putty knife to remove and discard any existing
seal material from the oor and the oor ange.
7. Evaluate the oor ange. If it is damaged, remove it and
install a new one, following the steps in “Installing a New
Floor Flange” .
8. If installing a Universal Mounting Kit, follow the
instructions that came with the kit.
9. Make sure the top surface of the oor is clean and free
of any debris or sealant.
